BNPB Case: KPK Awaits TNI Headquarters’ Reply on Questioning Two Generals
JAKARTA — The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is still awaiting a reply from TNI headquarters concerning two active-duty military personnel suspected of involvement in the alleged corruption of ready-to-use funds (DSP) at the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). Information obtained by Republika indicates that the two people being pursued by the KPK are senior officers.
The KPK said it had sent the TNI a letter about the two active-duty soldiers’ alleged involvement, including their roles and the chronology of events. The commission is now waiting for TNI headquarters to follow up.
“Has the KPK sent a letter? Of course, it has been conveyed [to TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto]. We are now waiting for a reply or confirmation from the TNI,” acting KPK Director of Investigations Ahmad Taufik Husein said in Jakarta on Friday (23 October 2026).
