The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) has confirmed that the impact of a landslide in Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan, is currently being handled by a joint response team. The joint team, together with the local disaster mitigation agency (BPBD), has been deployed to the affected site to take swift action and identify requirements for further logistical support. The landslide struck the village of Tambak Anyar Ilir, Martapura Timur District, on Saturday afternoon. BNPB’s Disaster Operations Control Centre reported that five houses were damaged and 20 people were directly affected by the incident. The joint team remains on site to monitor the stability of the ground conditions around the residential slopes and has urged residents to remain alert to the potential for subsequent ground movement, especially during heavy rainfall.
