BNN stresses 'zero error' principle in every drug operation
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Head of Indonesia’s National Narcotics Agency (BNN), Police Commissioner General Suyudi Ario Seto, has emphasised the principle of zero error, meaning no mistakes, in every drug operation.
According to him, prioritising this principle in operations is intended to prevent loss of life, both among BNN personnel and the public.
“Therefore, I urge all personnel to continue training seriously, sharpen technical skills, strengthen physical and mental resilience, and never feel satisfied with the abilities they already possess,” Suyudi said in a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Thursday.
He stressed that professionalism, discipline, and the readiness of BNN personnel are the main foundations for achieving effective, measurable, and procedure-compliant narcotics eradication operations.
Suyudi reminded that the challenges BNN personnel will face in the field are far heavier than what they have trained for so far.
Accordingly, to provide a realistic picture of the capabilities that every eradication division officer must possess when facing high-risk operations, BNN recently held a Raid Planning and Execution (RPE) simulation.
The simulation was held as part of the closing of the RPE Capability Enhancement Training for the Directorate of Enforcement and Pursuit, Deputy for Eradication at BNN, at the Hoegeng Iman Santoso Shooting Range, Mobile Brigade Corps Headquarters in Kelapa Dua, Depok, West Java, on Wednesday (5/8).
The activity served as a platform for participants to implement their skills after undergoing three days of intensive training since Monday (3/8), covering operational planning, rapid decision-making, inter-team coordination, and precise enforcement execution while prioritising the safety of personnel, the public, and compliance with procedures.
On that occasion, the BNN Chief also presented awards to the best teams in the RPE and Handling Suspect categories, as well as to three participants with the best individual shooting skills: Police Commissioner Muhammad Nur Hamid Amaruddin, Police Brigadier Diah Ayuningrum, and Second Police Inspector Ibnu Muttaqien.
The award presentation concluded the training series and served as a form of appreciation for the dedication and competence of the participants, with the hope that all personnel of the Directorate of Enforcement and Pursuit will continue to hone their skills, maintain professionalism, and always be ready to face various challenges of narcotics eradication operations in the field.
