National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Chief Komjen Suyudi Ario Seto outlined the agency’s achievements in tackling drug cases, emphasising that the BNN is not merely arresting perpetrators but also impoverishing the kingpins.

“We also have a spirit to impoverish the kingpins. In the period from October 2024 to July 2026, BNN RI has seized proceeds from narcotics-related money laundering crimes with a valuation exceeding Rp 165 billion,” Suyudi said in his address at the International Anti-Narcotics Day commemoration in Lido, Bogor, West Java, on Thursday (23/7/2026).

Suyudi then detailed the eradication achievements for the period October 2024 to July 2026, with the following data:

  • 12.3 tonnes of narcotics evidence seized

  • Rp 16.5 trillion in economic value halted

  • Rp 165 billion in money laundering assets seized

  • 48.3 million lives saved.

“For us, these figures are not just statistics. Behind every kilogram of narcotics prevented from circulating, there is a family that can be saved, there is a community space that we have managed to protect,” he said.

He stated that the BNN had conducted operations in drug-prone areas across 34 provinces. The operations resulted in the arrest of 1,259 suspects and the seizure of hundreds of kilograms of evidence, including 126 kg of crystal methamphetamine.

Suyudi added that the BNN also seized Rp 1.5 billion in cash from the operation, along with precious metals, 64 sharp weapons, and 19 firearms from various drug-prone locations.
