BNN Reveals Other Major Drug Lords in Kampung Bahari Besides 'Fat Boss'

The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) has arrested MR, also known as ‘Fat Boss’, a major drug lord in Kampung Bahari, North Jakarta. The BNN revealed that there are other major traffickers operating in the area.

This was disclosed by BNN Director of Enforcement and Pursuit, Brigadier General Roy Randy Siahaan. Roy stated that his team had also searched the homes of Fat Boss and other major traffickers.

“In addition to searching Fat Boss’s house, the team also searched the homes of major Kampung Bahari traffickers, namely Arif alias Lopes and Kimmul. Based on information, they all possess firearms,” Roy told reporters on Thursday (13/8/2026).

“So this morning’s activity was a search of Fat Boss’s house because, based on his statement, there was still 1 kilogramme of methamphetamine, ecstasy, vapes, cash, and a Glock firearm,” he added.

Roy said the major traffickers in Kampung Bahari had prepared themselves by purchasing illegal weapons to fight officers. They also conditioned loyalists to resist the authorities.

“The major drug lords in Kampung Bahari have prepared themselves by buying illegal weapons to fight officers,” he stated.

As is known, BNN raided Kampung Bahari this morning. The raid was a follow-up to the arrest of MR in connection with the circulation of 98 kilogrammes of methamphetamine uncovered by BNN in 2025.

MR had been on BNN’s wanted list since 7 November 2025. Following his arrest, BNN officers asked MR to show evidence in Kampung Bahari.

However, the raid attempt met with resistance from MR’s loyalists. Two of MR’s loyalists were arrested during the raid.

During the raid, BNN seized evidence including marijuana or Gorilla narcotics, cash, firearms, a samurai sword, and several bullets.

BNN has also seized a number of assets worth Rp 39 billion from Fat Boss, along with Rp 1.27 billion in cash, a BMW car, and a Vespa motorbike. In this case, Fat Boss is also charged with money laundering (TPPU).
