BNN Kepri Uncovers Vape Drug Ring, Seizes 246 E-Cigarettes Containing Narcotics in Batam

The National Narcotics Agency of the Riau Islands (BNN Kepri) has uncovered a narcotics distribution ring involving vapes in Batam and Karimun, Riau Islands. A total of 246 vape pieces suspected of containing the narcotic etomidate were seized by BNN officers.

The case began with a public report on Monday regarding a suspected narcotics transaction involving vapes. At around 1:00 PM WIB, BNN Kepri officers conducted profiling on two individuals matching the reported descriptions.

The officers subsequently apprehended the two suspects and searched an apartment, where they discovered the evidence. “Found were 246 pieces of vape suspected of containing a Class II narcotic substance, etomidate,” stated the BNN Kepri.

Further developing the case, officers traced the owner of the narcotic vapes and arrested a third suspect. The three individuals arrested are Muhammad Zulfikar, Muhammad Ridzuan, and Muhammad Rusdi. The suspects and the evidence have been taken to the BNN Kepri office for further investigation.
