The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of the Republic of Indonesia will hold a National Public Lecture entitled ‘Building Young Generation Resilience Amid the Threat of Narcotics’ on Thursday, 6 August 2026, at the Majalengka University Auditorium. The event will feature the Head of BNN RI, Commissioner General of Police Dr. (H.C.) Suyudi Ario Seto, as the main speaker.

The public lecture forms part of BNN’s efforts to strengthen the literacy and resilience of the younger generation in facing the growing threat of narcotics abuse. In addition to the Head of BNN RI, the event will be attended by the Regent of Majalengka, Drs. H. Eman Suherman, M.Si., and the Rector of Majalengka University, Dr. H. Otong Syuhada, S.H., M.H.

The event will be attended by officials from the Majalengka Regency Regional Apparatus Organisations (OPD), university students, and members of the general public. Through the public lecture, BNN aims to broaden education on the dangers of narcotics whilst encouraging the emergence of a young generation with personal resilience, capable of acting as agents of prevention within their own communities.

In the main session, Commissioner General of Police Dr. (H.C.) Suyudi Ario Seto will discuss the importance of building youth resilience amid increasingly complex challenges of narcotics abuse. The discussion is also expected to strengthen collaboration between government, educational institutions, and society in creating a healthy environment free from narcotics abuse.

This commitment was also conveyed by the Head of BNN RI, Commissioner General Suyudi Ario Seto, when receiving an award at the detikcom Awards. ‘Let us make our families the first line of defence against drug abuse, and the spirit of gotong royong (mutual cooperation) as our moral weapon in safeguarding the nation’s future,’ he said.

The event is supported by Bank Mandiri, as part of the Danantara ecosystem, which is committed to supporting the development of the quality of Indonesia’s human resources, particularly the younger generation.

In addition to attending in person at the Majalengka University Auditorium, members of the public can also watch the public lecture via live streaming on Majalengka University’s YouTube channel, starting from 08.30 WIB.
