Acting Deputy for Enforcement at BNN, Brigadier General Roy Hardi Siahaan, said the cases involved 13 suspects.

“The actions carried out by BNN teams reflect the Indonesian government’s commitment to combating drug trafficking nationwide, whether through air routes or border areas, especially as the modus operandi of international drug networks entering Indonesia becomes increasingly complex,” Roy said at a press conference.

He detailed the destroyed evidence as including 27.73 kg of methamphetamine, 1.83 kg of ecstasy (3,916 pills), 0.64 kg of solid mephedrone, 7,247 milliliters of liquid mephedrone, 24,722 milliliters of liquid precursors, 4 kg of solid chemicals, and 198,129 milliliters of liquid chemicals.

Most of the confiscated items, he said, were seized through airport operations conducted jointly by BNN, Customs and Excise, and officers at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Banten.

The operation led to the arrest of 11 individuals who were transporting methamphetamine from Sumatra to eastern regions of Indonesia, including Lombok and Sulawesi.

In addition, BNN uncovered a clandestine drug laboratory in Bali, operated by two Russian nationals suspected of producing synthetic drugs, specifically mephedrone.

Roy added that authorities will continue intensifying both preventive and enforcement measures to create a society free from narcotics.

BNN also called on the public to take an active role in combating drug abuse and trafficking, including by safeguarding family and community environments, supporting anti-drug education programs, and reporting suspected drug-related activities through official channels such as the 184 hotline.

“With public participation, the fight against drugs will be more effective, in pursuit of a drug-free Indonesia,” he said.
