BNN: Collaboration with Pancasila University Launches Sobat Bersinar
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia’s National Narcotics Agency (BNN) states that its collaboration with Pancasila University will drive the creation of Sobat Bersih Narkoba (Bersinar) within the campus environment.
During an audience in Jakarta on Tuesday (5/5), BNN Chief Police Commissioner General Suyudi Ario Seto said that Sobat Bersinar consists of selected students who serve as representatives and drivers of the anti-narcotics campaign.
“Students are expected to be able to become role models, spread positive messages, and inspire fellow young generations to stay away from narcotics,” Suyudi stated, as quoted from a confirmed press release in Jakarta on Wednesday.
In the audience, one of the main focuses discussed was strengthening BNN’s flagship programme, namely ANANDA BERSINAR (National Action Against Narcotics Starting from Drug-Free Children), as a manifestation of the state’s presence in saving the nation’s children from the threat of narcotics through various educative approaches based on family and youth strengths.
The programme is also directed towards realising Kampus Bersinar, a university environment that is not only free from narcotics abuse but also actively involved in prevention efforts through education, creative campaigns, and student engagement as agents of change.
In response, Pancasila University Foundation Board Member Suhardi Alius expressed his commitment to fully support the ANANDA BERSINAR programme, realise Kampus Bersinar, and initiate the formation of Duta Bersinar through integration into academic and student activities, as well as strengthening a healthy and productive campus culture.
The activity is expected to be the initial step in ongoing cooperation between BNN and the education sector in creating a campus environment free from narcotics and producing superior generations ready to face future challenges.
The audience was also attended by Rector Adnan Hamid along with his deputy rectors, namely Deputy Rector I Arissetyanto Nugroho, Deputy Rector II Sri Widyastuti, and Deputy Rector III Muhammad Rizky Aldila.
