JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk will gradually close its Internet Banking service starting 21 April 2026. In its place, customers are encouraged to switch to using the Wondr by BNI application for individual transaction needs. Customers with business operational requirements can also use the BNIDirect platform. In an official announcement, BNI stated that the discontinuation of the Internet Banking service is in line with the strengthening of new digital channels deemed more suitable for current user needs. “In line with BNI’s commitment to providing more integrated, reliable digital services that meet customer needs, we hereby inform you that starting from 21 April 2026, access to the Internet Banking service will be closed gradually,” the BNI website stated, as quoted on Monday (23/3/2026). Through Wondr by BNI, customers can access various financial features encompassing daily transactions, financial management, and investment planning in a single application. This step reflects BNI’s efforts to promote the digitalisation of banking services while increasing the efficiency and security of customer transactions. On the other hand, BNI also reminds customers to remain vigilant against potential digital fraud. The company emphasises that it never requests personal data such as OTP codes, PINs, or passwords from customers under any circumstances. “As a form of protection, always remain vigilant against scams impersonating BNI. BNI never requests personal data such as OTP, PIN, CVC, User ID, or your password,” the same announcement stated.
