JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, will fully close its BNI Internet Banking service on 4 May 2026. The service, typically accessed via the website https://ibank.bni.co.id/, will be redirected to wondr by BNI for retail customers and BNIdirect Bisnis for corporate customers. BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo stated that the closure of the BNI Internet Banking service will be carried out gradually. Starting from 21 April 2026, BNI will limit access for some customers, before the service is completely discontinued on 4 May 2026. During this transition process, Okki urged customers to immediately migrate by downloading and activating the wondr by BNI application via the Play Store or App Store to continue accessing digital banking services. Meanwhile, for customers using current accounts as a source of transaction funds, BNI provides an alternative service through BNIdirect Bisnis, which is designed to support more comprehensive business transaction needs. During the transition period, BNI ensures full support through various service channels, from call centres and branches to official information channels. The company also emphasises that all customer data and transaction histories remain secure in accordance with applicable banking security standards. “BNI provides various assistance channels so that the onboarding process for wondr by BNI or BNIdirect Bisnis can run smoothly without disrupting customers’ transaction activities,” said Okki. Okki explained that the closure of the BNI Internet Banking service is part of the company’s digital transformation strategy. It also serves as an effort to integrate banking services to make them more secure and aligned with the evolving needs of customers who increasingly rely on digital services. “This transformation is part of BNI’s commitment to delivering digital services that are more secure, faster, and relevant to current customer needs,” he added.
