BNI to Gradually Shut Down Internet Banking Services Starting 21 April 2026
JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk will gradually shut down its Internet Banking services starting 21 April 2026. This policy is part of the company’s digital transformation to deliver more integrated and modern services. In an official notice, BNI stated that the discontinuation of Internet Banking services aligns with the strengthening of new digital channels deemed more suitable for current user needs. Customers are advised to begin transitioning to the wondr by BNI app for individual transaction needs, as well as the BNIdirect platform for business operational requirements. Through wondr by BNI, customers can access various financial features, including daily transactions, financial management, and investment planning, all within a single application. Meanwhile, BNIdirect for business is designed as an integrated digital solution for entrepreneurs, encompassing instant transfers, bulk transactions, and real-time cash flow monitoring. On the other hand, BNI also reminds customers to remain vigilant against potential digital fraud. The company emphasises that it never requests personal data such as OTP codes, PINs, or passwords from customers under any circumstances. BNI states that this change is expected to provide a more optimal banking experience while supporting customers’ financial needs in the digital era.
