BNI to Close Internet Banking Service, Customers Directed to wondr
PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, will close its internet banking service on 4 May 2026. In its place, customers will be redirected to the wondr by BNI digital platform for retail needs and BNIdirect Bisnis for business and corporate transaction requirements.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo stated that this step is taken to provide more integrated, secure banking services that align with the growing reliance of customers on digital platforms.
“This transformation is part of BNI’s commitment to delivering digital services that are safer, faster, and more relevant to current customer needs. We ensure that the migration process runs smoothly while prioritising customer transaction comfort and security,” said Okki in a written statement on Monday, 6 April 2026.
The closure of the internet banking service will be carried out gradually. Starting 21 April 2026, BNI will restrict access for some customers, before fully discontinuing the service on 4 May 2026.
BNI urges customers to immediately migrate by downloading and activating the wondr by BNI app via the Play Store or App Store to continue accessing digital banking services. For customers using current accounts as a transaction funding source, BNI provides an alternative through the BNIdirect Bisnis service.
Okki stated that BNI will provide full support during the transition period through various service channels, from call centres and branches to official information channels. The company also emphasises that all customer data and transaction histories remain secure in accordance with applicable banking security standards.
“BNI provides various assistance channels so that the onboarding process for wondr by BNI or BNIdirect Bisnis can proceed smoothly without disrupting customer transaction activities,” said Okki.
