BNI Supports Batik SMEs at Puspa Nuswantara 2026 Exhibition
PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) is strengthening its support for micro, small, and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the batik sector through its participation in the Puspa Nuswantara 2026 exhibition. The event, themed ‘Rupa Makna Tambal Nusantara’, is being held by the Association of Indonesian Batik Artisans and Entrepreneurs (APPBI) at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC), Senayan, from 8 to 12 July 2026.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo stated that the bank’s support reflects its role as a strategic partner for SMEs in enhancing business competitiveness. This is achieved by strengthening business ecosystems, expanding market access, and utilising integrated financial solutions. ‘Batik is not only a national cultural identity but also holds significant economic value,’ Okki said in a written statement.
During the exhibition, BNI is facilitating non-cash transactions by providing Electronic Data Capture (EDC) machines and QRIS BNI payment services for participating tenants. The bank is also offering various promotional programmes and transaction benefits for customers throughout the event. Additionally, BNI has provided promotional space for three of its fostered SME partners from the BNI Berbagi programme, namely Kampoeng Laweyan, RB Wonogiri, and RB Katingan, whose booths are located next to the Puro Pakualaman stand. Okki added that this participation is part of BNI’s commitment to preserving Indonesian culture with high economic value, while encouraging the creation of a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable SME ecosystem through synergy with various stakeholders.
