BNI organised a Ramadan iftar with business partners as part of the BNI wondrful Iftar with Merchant 2026. The move aims to strengthen ties and deepen collaboration with strategic merchants. The event took place at the Fairmont Jakarta on Monday, 2 March 2026, and was attended by around 70 merchants from various retail segments. It was also attended by BNI’s board of directors and management, including Deputy President Director Alexandra Askandar and Director of Consumer Banking Corina Leyla Karnalies. Attendees came from chain store, local store, and retail store segments that have long been strategic partners of BNI in developing a digital transaction ecosystem. Alexandra Askandar said Ramadan is an important moment for BNI to reinforce ties and deepen cooperation with merchants. “Ramadan is a moment of togetherness, reflection, and strengthening kinship. For us at BNI, Ramadan is an important time to strengthen collaboration and drive business growth with the merchants,” Alexandra said in a written statement on Friday, 6 March 2026. Under the theme “Celebrate Your Ramadan Victory with wondr”, the event provided a space for interaction between BNI and merchants to exchange views and strengthen long-term partnerships, particularly to capitalise on the higher activity of transactions during Ramadan. During the event, BNI also introduced various digital solutions designed to support merchant business optimisation. Innovations introduced included the development of the wondr Merchant app with features for same-day settlement and 24-hour transaction monitoring. In addition, BNI presented contactless payment services via QRIS Tap wondr by BNI, system integration via API and Electronic Cash Register (ECR), and support for global payment acceptance such as Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, and China UnionPay. BNI also offers integrated business transaction management solutions via BNI Direct for Business, and various digital payment channels such as EDC, QRIS, Internet Payment Gateway, and Payment Link to support a faster, safer and more efficient transaction experience for merchants. “Through various innovations and programmes we have introduced, we hope to increase merchant traffic and transaction volumes while strengthening the business synergy with BNI,” said Alexandra. BNI notes strong collaboration with merchants as a key factor in building an integrated digital banking ecosystem. The company also regularly recognises its business partners through the annual BNI wondrful Merchant Trip programme as a form of appreciation for merchant performance and loyalty. Through this event, BNI reiterates its commitment to remain a trusted financial partner for merchants in driving business growth while reinforcing the digital transaction ecosystem in Indonesia.
