PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, continues to strengthen its commitment to developing the quality of its human resources. This strategic step is realised through the operation of the BNI Professional Certification Institute (LSP), which has obtained a licence from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), as well as the adoption of international standards at the BNI Corporate University.

The momentum for strengthening human capital governance was marked by the handover of the BNI LSP Licence Certificate, the ISO 21001:2018 Certificate, and the Letter of Compliance for ISO 30422:2022. The ceremony recognising these achievements took place at Grha BNI, Jakarta, on 6 August 2026.

During the event, BNSP Chairman Syamsi Hari personally handed over the BNI LSP Licence Certificate to BNI’s Director of Human Capital & Compliance, Munadi Herlambang. The licence, obtained on 19 June 2026, authorises BNI LSP to conduct professional competency certification in a professional, objective, independent, and accountable manner.

BNI’s Director of Human Capital & Compliance, Munadi Herlambang, emphasised that the existence of the LSP is a vital foundation for ensuring that every BNI employee has measurable professional standards. This is expected to fully support the company’s business transformation amid dynamic industry competition.

“Competency certification ensures that every BNI individual has professional standards capable of supporting the company’s business transformation,” said Munadi in a written statement.

In the initial phase of its operations, BNI LSP has prepared seven strategic certification schemes. Going forward, the scope of certification will continue to be expanded to cover future technology fields such as digital banking, artificial intelligence, risk management, and information technology.

In addition to internal strengthening, BNI Corporate University has also demonstrated its quality through the attainment of ISO 21001:2018 and ISO 30422:2022. This international recognition confirms that learning governance at BNI is systematic and aligned with global best practices.

BNI’s move to strengthen its learning ecosystem is in line with the direction of state-owned enterprise transformation under the coordination of Danantara Indonesia. The main focus is on people development, corporate culture, innovation, and value creation to build competitive state-owned companies on the global stage.

Munadi added that BNI is committed to continuously improving the capabilities of its LSP so that it not only serves as an internal driving force but also becomes a reference for human resource development for the national banking industry at large.
