PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, is strengthening its human resource development governance through the operation of the BNI Professional Certification Institute (LSP), licensed by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), and the implementation of international standards at BNI Corporate University. This strengthening was marked by the acquisition of the LSP BNI licence certificate from BNSP, the ISO 21001:2018 certificate, and a Letter of Compliance for ISO 30422:2022 by BNI Corporate University. The three achievements were formalised in a ceremony at Grha BNI, Jakarta, on 6 August 2026. BNSP Chairman Syamsi Hari presented the LSP BNI licence certificate to BNI’s Director of Human Capital & Compliance, Munadi Herlambang. LSP BNI itself obtained the licence from BNSP on 19 June 2026. With this licence, LSP BNI can conduct work competency certification professionally, objectively, independently, and accountably according to applicable competency standards. In the initial phase, LSP BNI provides seven certification schemes covering strategic fields, ranging from general banking to internal audit. The scope of certification will be expanded following industry developments, including in digital banking, artificial intelligence, risk management, and information technology. BNI’s Director of Human Capital & Compliance, Munadi Herlambang, stated that the existence of LSP is an important part of ensuring that employee competency development is carried out in a measurable manner and relevant to the needs of the banking industry. ‘LSP BNI is an important foundation in building competent human resources while strengthening corporate governance. Competency certification ensures that every BNI employee has a standard of professionalism capable of supporting the company’s business transformation,’ Munadi said in a written statement. In addition to strengthening competency certification, BNI Corporate University obtained ISO 21001:2018 certification on 15 May 2026 and a Letter of Compliance for ISO 30422:2022 on 4 August 2026. This recognition confirms the implementation of learning and talent development governance that is more systematic, oriented towards learner needs, and refers to international best practices. According to Munadi, BNI will continue to improve the quality and capability of LSP so that it not only supports internal needs but can also become a reference in human resource development for the national banking industry. The strengthening of the learning and certification ecosystem is in line with the direction of State-Owned Enterprise transformation under the coordination of Danantara Indonesia, which places people development, corporate culture, innovation, and value creation as important parts of building healthier, more competitive, and globally competitive state companies. Through the strengthening of learning systems, competency certification, and the implementation of international standards, BNI seeks to ensure that talent development runs more measurably, is relevant to industry needs, and is able to support business transformation and long-term value creation.
