BNI Strengthens Digital Ecosystem and Global Markets to Boost National Economy

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, known as BNI, has reaffirmed its commitment as Indonesia’s global bank, actively driving national economic growth through enhanced global connectivity, digital ecosystem development, strategic collaborations, and sustainable financing support. This was emphasised by BNI’s Director of Treasury & International Banking, Abu Santosa Sudradjat, during the ‘The Bankers’ Business Talk session at the Jogja Financial Festival 2026 held in Yogyakarta.

During the session, Abu asserted that the role of banks today has evolved beyond mere intermediation to becoming strategic partners that assist national businesses in connecting with global markets. “As one of the banks in Indonesia with an international network, BNI serves as a bridge connecting national entrepreneurs with the global market,” Abu stated in a release on Saturday, 23 May 2026.

“Beyond providing financing, BNI also supports international transactions, trade finance, business matching, and provides market information access for Indonesian businesses,” he added. In line with this commitment, BNI continues to strengthen support for MSMEs through the BNI Xpora programme, aimed at increasing business capacity, accelerating digitalisation, and opening export opportunities and international business partnerships via BNI’s global network.

BNI has also developed an open banking ecosystem by strengthening digital transaction solutions and cash management, introducing digital services such as wondr by BNI and BNIdirect to support the needs of both retail and corporate customers. “Moving forward, BNI will continue to strengthen its role as a connector for the national and global economic ecosystems through digital innovation, international network expansion, and cross-sector collaboration. We will also support productive and sustainable sectors to drive more inclusive and globally competitive economic growth for Indonesia,” Abu concluded.
