BNI Responds to Demonstration in Pematang Siantar

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) has provided clarification regarding a demonstration that took place in North Sumatra. The demonstration occurred on Friday (24/4/2026) at the Pematang Siantar Branch Office. BNI explained that the issue highlighted by the public concerns a product of a cooperative. BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo stressed that the cooperative is an independent entity and not part of BNI. Furthermore, Okki emphasised that the case is currently in the process of legal resolution. BNI fully respects the ongoing legal process. “We are committed to resolving this case by adhering to the current legal decision,” he stated in a press release on Saturday (25/4/2026).
