BNI Posts Rp10.8 Trillion Profit in First Half of 2026
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) has recorded a consolidated net profit of Rp10.8 trillion for the first half of 2026, up 5.94% year on year (yoy).
On the top line, interest income reached Rp38.63 trillion, up 14.92% from a year earlier. However, interest expenses grew at a faster pace of 15.94% yoy to Rp16.34 trillion. As a result, net interest income (NII) rose 14.2% annually to Rp22.3 trillion.
Operating profit stood at Rp13.11 trillion, growing a modest 6.01% yoy over the first six months of the year.
BNI’s net interest margin (NIM) was eroded to 3.55%, from 3.83% a year earlier. Meanwhile, the operating expenses to operating income ratio (BOPO) rose to 73.11%.
On the intermediation side, BNI’s loans grew 24.4% year on year to Rp968.5 trillion as of the end of June 2026. Credit quality also improved, with the gross non-performing loan (NPL) ratio at 1.93%, down from 1.95% previously. However, the net NPL ratio edged up to 0.72% from 0.69%.
On the funding side, BNI’s total third-party funds reached Rp1,100.18 trillion as of the end of June 2026, a substantial increase of 28% yoy.
Consequently, the loan-to-deposit ratio (LDR) tightened further, rising to 87.73%.
Meanwhile, the value of securities held by BNI grew significantly to Rp204.28 trillion as of the first half of 2026, up 10.66% yoy.
BNI’s total assets rose to Rp1,461 trillion, up from Rp1,201.65 trillion a year earlier.
