BNI Introduces KPR Cermat at Danantara Housing Expo 2026, Offering Lighter Instalments
PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, has introduced its KPR Cermat feature at the Danantara Housing Expo 2026. The feature, available through BNI Griya for non-subsidised housing, enables customers to obtain a running interest rate discount of up to 1% per year by linking their mortgage facility to the average daily balance of their savings account.
The Danantara Housing Expo 2026 is taking place from 27–30 August 2026 at NICE PIK 2. At the event, BNI is partnering with hundreds of developers offering a wide range of properties, from premium and commercial housing to subsidised homes.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said KPR Cermat is being offered as an alternative for customers to manage their home financing while optimising funds held in their savings accounts.
“Through KPR Cermat, customers can obtain an interest rate discount by maintaining a minimum average daily balance in their savings account. The funds remain available and can be used for transactions, while also helping to ease the burden of mortgage instalments in accordance with applicable provisions,” Okki said in a written statement.
Customers can obtain an interest rate discount starting from 0.5% per year by maintaining an average daily savings balance of at least 10% of the outstanding loan principal. The discount can increase according to the balance maintained, up to a maximum of 1% per year.
Funds in the linked savings account are not blocked and can still be used for transactions and earn interest in accordance with applicable provisions.
Under the KPR Cermat scheme, customers can also link up to five savings accounts, including accounts belonging to a spouse, parents, or children who are still registered in the same family card, subject to programme requirements.
To help the public assess their financing capacity, BNI is also providing a mortgage calculator at its booth during the Danantara Housing Expo 2026. Through this facility, visitors can simulate instalments and view various financing scheme options before selecting a home that suits their needs and financial capability.
“BNI wants to help the public plan home ownership more comprehensively. Not only choosing a home, but also understanding their ability to pay instalments and utilising financing schemes that match their financial condition,” Okki said.
Through the Danantara Housing Expo 2026, the public can visit BNI’s booth to explore various housing options from hundreds of developers while consulting about BNI Griya and KPR Cermat facilities.
BNI’s presence at the exhibition is part of the company’s support for the Three Million Houses Programme as well as an effort to expand public access to housing finance.
As a state-owned enterprise within the Danantara Indonesia ecosystem, BNI will continue to strengthen collaboration with developers and various stakeholders to deliver housing finance solutions that are increasingly accessible and suited to the needs of the public.
