BNI Fully Supports Government's Move on New DHE SDA Rules
Jakarta — PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, fully supports the government’s move to implement new rules concerning Devisa Hasil Ekspor Sumber Daya Alam (DHE SDA) starting 1 June 2026.
This support is in line with BNI’s commitment to wholeheartedly serve in supporting customers’ needs and strengthening the national economy, Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said in an official statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
The policy of 100 percent retention of DHE SDA, centralised in the Himpunan Bank Milik Negara (Himbara), is believed to strengthen the stability of the national financial system and spur multiplier effects for the economy.
Moreover, the policy is described as a strategic step to increase the supply of foreign exchange in the domestic market and to reinforce Himbara’s role as an agent of development.
The new policy will also limit the proportion of foreign currency conversions into rupiah by exporters, with a maximum cap of 50 percent.
According to him, the rules could positively impact the stability of the rupiah’s exchange rate while also safeguarding the availability of foreign currency liquidity domestically.
With a strong international track record and network, he continued, BNI is prepared to support the implementation of the policy to maximise the value added from the DHE SDA funds.
BNIDirect offers DHE SDA features to support processes, monitoring, reporting to the government, and management of DHE SDA transactions in a more integrated, efficient, and seamless manner, so that exporting customers can manage their cash flow more optimally.
In line with the new rules’ implementation, BNI is set to develop a specialised strategy to manage these funds through strengthened digital cash management services, treasury services, and optimisation of investment instruments.
Moreover, BNI siap to become the government and exporters’ main partner in distributing domestic foreign-currency-denominated Government Securities (SBN) instruments, specifically for DHE SDA.
