Diah Charmaningtyas, BNI’s UGM Branch Office Brand Manager, spoke about strategies to promote financial management at the Jogja Financial Festival 2026. During the Edu Class session ‘Financial Management for Sustainable Growth’, she stressed that integrity is a key factor for anyone to have good financial management and cash flow skills.

‘When we manage or strive to promote sustainable financial management, we must have good integrity,’ she said during the Edu Class session ‘Financial Management for Sustainable Growth’ on Sunday, 24 May 2026.

She explained that everyone must take responsibility for the money they receive. Integrity in an individual is evident when they honestly disclose income and expenses in detail.

The hope is that the simple habit of being open about financial status enables individuals to allocate funds according to their needs. This will undoubtedly form a crucial foundation for building healthy personal finances.

Diah also noted that integrity can be passed from parents to children, especially when the child receives a monthly allowance. When children are given money by their parents, they must take responsibility and maintain trust by managing the money properly.

‘When given pocket money by parents but not used as intended, such as failing to pay school fees or buy necessary items and instead allocating it elsewhere, that means we lack integrity,’ she added.

Furthermore, Diah stressed that integrity is a priority in the banking sector. In this context, banks demonstrate integrity through full responsibility in managing customers’ funds. This builds high trust from customers.

‘Similarly, in banking, when we maintain the integrity of all BNI customers, it is part of our duty and necessity to safeguard the trust placed in us as stakeholders. To maintain this trust, in addition to ensuring good stakeholder relationships, it is essential to keep accurate records and avoid manipulating information,’ she concluded.
