BNI Consistently Promotes Equitable Education Through This Programme

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, continues to strengthen its commitment to enhancing the quality of education in Indonesia, in line with the spirit of National Education Day (Hardiknas), which falls on 2 May each year. One of BNI’s concrete steps is the provision of scholarships for students in need and those with achievements, while also supporting the development of superior and competitive human resources. From 2025 to April 2026, the scholarships distributed through BNI Berbagi have reached more than 1,000 students across various education levels, from primary school to higher education. BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo stated that through BNI Berbagi, the company consistently and sustainably supports the government in promoting equitable access to education throughout Indonesia. “The momentum of Hardiknas serves as a reminder to us all that education is the primary foundation in building the nation’s future. BNI remains committed to being present and making real contributions to supporting improvements in the quality of education in Indonesia,” said Okki in a written statement quoted on Sunday (3/5/2026). Furthermore, Okki explained that this initiative not only focuses on enhancing academic capacity but also on building character and financial literacy so that society is better prepared to face future economic challenges. The programme is accompanied by mentoring and educational activities to ensure that the benefits received are optimal and sustainable. BNI is committed to expanding the reach of this programme to 3T regions (frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped) in Indonesia. “BNI is committed to continuing to expand the reach of this programme so that its benefits can be felt more widely by communities in various regions of Indonesia,” Okki emphasised. Through these various initiatives, BNI hopes to make a significant contribution to producing a generation that excels academically while possessing strong character for Indonesia’s future.
