PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBNI) has announced the completion of its share buyback programme. The buyback, authorised at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 9 March 2026, had a maximum allocation of Rp905.48 billion. The bank confirmed it has repurchased a total of 77,856,100 shares before halting the programme, taking into account macroeconomic conditions, market dynamics, and the requirements for transferring the shares. The treasury stock will be transferred through an Employee Stock Ownership Programme in accordance with applicable regulations. Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo stated that the conclusion of the buyback does not affect the company’s business activities or growth, as the bank’s capital and liquidity position remains strong post-buyback. He added that the bank maintains a healthy Capital Adequacy Ratio and sufficient operational cash flow to support all future business plans and development. The buyback was also described as an effort to support share trading stability amid market dynamics, without impacting the company’s fundamentals or operational capacity.
