PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) is strengthening its support for micro, small and medium enterprise (SMEE) development by presenting 10 supported SMEs at the Dhawa Festival (Dhawafest) Pesona 2026 exhibition in Jakarta.

The participation aims to expand market access, increase product branding, and drive increased transaction volumes for supported business operators.

BNI’s Director of Consumer Banking, Corina Leyla Carnalies, stated that BNI’s participation in Dhawafest is part of the company’s commitment to enabling supported SMEs to advance further and achieve higher competitiveness.

“BNI’s participation in Dhawafest Pesona 2026 is a tangible expression of the company’s commitment to helping supported SMEs advance, develop competitiveness, and expand their market networks through cross-institutional collaboration,” Corina said in a written statement on Tuesday (10 March 2026).

Dhawafest Pesona 2026 is organised by Dharma Wanita Persatuan of the Ministry of Finance (DWP Finance Ministry) as a platform to promote creative products from various regions across Indonesia. The exhibition runs for three days, from 4–6 March 2026, at the Dhanapala Building, Ministry of Finance Complex, Jakarta.

This year, Dhawafest features approximately 240 participants comprising craftspeople, manufacturers, and supported SMEs from various government agencies, state-owned enterprises, private institutions, and representatives of Dharma Wanita Persatuan within the Ministry of Finance.

Under the theme “Graceful Offering of the Archipelago – Supporting More Competitive SMEs Towards Golden Indonesia”, the exhibition showcases a diverse range of products in fashion, handicrafts, and culinary sectors that reflect the cultural wealth from various regions across Indonesia.

For this year’s event, West Sumatra Province has been designated as the icon of Dhawafest with the symbol of the Piring Dance, which represents the values of collaboration and synergy.

In this exhibition, BNI brings supported SMEs from various sectors. These include Fenny Permata, offering jewellery made from pearls and gemstones; Rafi Ridwan x ManZieRa, which presents craftwork from persons with disabilities in the form of headscarves and woven textiles.

Additionally, there is Jeara Sleep Wear with sleepwear products, Polka Clothes with batik and polka-dot patterned woven fabrics, and Bagora with fried onion products. BNI also brings other supported SMEs such as Rendang Asese offering traditional Indonesian cuisine.

There is also Artha Boutique with batik products, Wong Perfume with local fragrances, Lemari Lawas with vintage and antique batik collections, Rumah BUMN Bekasi with Muslim fashion, Abit Kain with clothing, ulos and bag products, and FIEF with batik and woven collections.

In addition to presenting featured SMEE products, BNI is promoting the use of non-cash transactions and improving financial literacy among business operators. This effort aligns with BNI’s commitment to supporting digital transformation in the SMEE sector while encouraging more modern and sustainable business practices.

Through participation in Dhawafest Pesona 2026, BNI hopes that supported SMEs will gain broader market access and strengthen business networks with various partners.

The synergy between banking, government, and business operators is considered key to accelerating SMEE growth as the backbone of the national economy towards Golden Indonesia.
