Jakarta – PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, commonly known as BNI, held an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) and decided to appoint Febrio Nathan Kacaribu as a Non-Independent Commissioner.

It is known that Febrio Nathan Kacaribu is the Director General of Economic and Fiscal Strategy at the Ministry of Finance, one of the subordinates of Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.

According to the Disclosure of Information from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), the appointment of Febrio as a Non-Independent Commissioner of BNI has also received approval from the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

This is outlined in OJK Letter No. SR-291/PB.13/2026 dated 17 April 2026.

“Approves the appointment of Mr Febrio Nathan Kacaribu as a Non-Independent Commissioner of the Company,” as stated by BNI’s management in the BEI Disclosure of Information, quoted on Monday, 20 April 2026.

Thus, based on the BNI EGMS decision and OJK Letter No. SR-291/PB.13/2026 dated 17 April 2026, the appointment of Febrio Nathan Kacaribu as a Non-Independent Commissioner of BNI will take effect from 17 April 2026.

For information, before serving as the current Director General of Economic and Fiscal Strategy at the Ministry of Finance, Febrio was known to have been the Head of the Fiscal Policy Agency at the Ministry of Finance from mid-2020 to 2025.

His academic track record includes a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universitas Indonesia (UI).

He then obtained a Master of International & Development Economics from Australian National University (ANU), while his PhD in Economics was obtained from the University of Kansas, United States (US).
