Jakarta - The German automaker BMW has a particular interest in the Chinese automotive market. This is evident from the availability of the latest BMW iX3 with a larger version and more advanced technology compared to the one available in the European market.

Arena EV reported on Tuesday that drivers in Europe and the United States receive the standard iX3. The German car manufacturer confirmed that the vehicle will make its official debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2026.

One of the most striking differences between this model and the one found in other countries is its size. For the Chinese version, the BMW iX3 comes with a wheelbase of 3005 mm, whereas the version sold abroad has a wheelbase of 2895 mm.

However, BMW has not yet disclosed the official specifications for the Chinese version. For the version outside the Chinese market, the vehicle has dimensions of 4780 mm in length, 1895 mm in width, and 1635 mm in height.

In terms of design, the vehicle features a digital angel wing design on the front. Drivers can choose from nine different paint colours - Mineral White, Arctic Grey, Marina Bay Blue, Space Silver, Blue Ridge Mountain Blue, Carbon Black, Dune Grey, Flamenco Red, and Frozen Space Silver.

Meanwhile, the rear feels even more luxurious with the inscription “Brilliance BMW” in Mandarin - this is because BMW collaborates with a local company named Brilliance to build this electric vehicle locally.

For range capacity and battery, the vehicle is equipped with a 108kWh battery and uses BMW’s latest 800 V technology.

According to Chinese testing standards, using a fast charger, the car can add 427 km of range in just 10 minutes.

The car also uses two motors, which together produce 345 kW (463 horsepower). The car can accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds.
