BMW opens training center

JAKARTA: PT BMW Indonesia, the subsidiary of German carmaker
BMW AG, opened on Wednesday a training center in Tangerang to
improve the skills and professionalism of its staff members and
dealers.

The BMW National Training Center, which has been built with a
total investment of Rp 5 billion (about US$600,000) covers an
area of 660 square meters on the ground floor of the German
Center in Bumi Serpong Damai.

The center, which is equipped with high-tech presentation and
training equipment, will have four permanent trainers and will be
regularly visited by guest trainers from Europe.

Through the center, BMW hopes to transfer its technology to
Indonesia, it said in a statement -- JP
