BMKG Weather Forecast for Saturday: Light to Moderate Rain in Several Cities

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts that a number of cities in Indonesia have the potential to experience light to moderate intensity rain on Saturday. Moderate intensity rain is likely to occur in Serang and Nabire. Meanwhile, light rain is forecast to fall on several other cities in western and eastern Indonesia. In the western region, light rain is likely in Banda Aceh, Medan, Tanjung Pinang, Padang, Bengkulu, Palembang, Pontianak, and Tanjung Selor. In eastern Indonesia, light rain is predicted for Mamuju, Palu, Kendari, Ambon, Sorong, Manokwari, Jayapura, Jayawijaya, and Merauke. In addition to the potential for rain, BMKG also forecasts cloudy to thick cloudy conditions in several major cities. For western Indonesia, cloudy conditions are likely in Jambi, Pangkal Pinang, Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Banjarmasin, Palangkaraya, and Samarinda. In eastern Indonesia, cloudy to thick cloudy weather is forecast for Denpasar, Mataram, Kupang, Makassar, Gorontalo, Manado, and Ternate. BMKG also predicts hazy conditions may occur in Bandar Lampung. Meanwhile, Pekanbaru is predicted to experience smoke or fog conditions.
