BMKG Predicts Clear Weather for Kaliurang and Parangtritis Beach

The Yogyakarta Special Region’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG DIY) has released a weather forecast for tourist areas tomorrow. No rain is anticipated across all tourist zones, including Kaliurang in Sleman and Parangtritis Beach in Bantul.

Yogyakarta City: According to BMKG DIY’s official Instagram account @infobmkgyia on Thursday, 28 May 2026, some parts of Yogyakarta City are expected to experience light rain on Friday, 29 May. However, the Malioboro area is predicted to be partly cloudy from morning to afternoon.

Sleman: Meanwhile, in Sleman regency, there is a potential for rain, but Kaliurang is forecasted to be partly cloudy. Similarly, the Prambanan Temple area will remain partly cloudy throughout the day.

Bantul: Bantul regency is forecasted to be clear, with Parangtritis Beach expected to be clear all day.

Kulon Progo: Kulon Progo regency is predicted to have light rain, though Menoreh Hills and Glagah Beach are forecasted to be partly cloudy from morning until evening.

Gunungkidul: Tourist areas in Gunungkidul regency are not expected to experience rain, with Indrayenti Beach forecasted to be partly cloudy throughout the day.
