BMKG: Jambi still at risk of rain over the coming week

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) at the Sultan Thaha Class I station predicts that rain will continue to potentially drench Jambi Province over the next week. “In the coming week, there is still potential for rain in the Jambi Province region,” said BMKG Forecaster Benedy Fajar in a statement in Jambi on Thursday. Fajar explained that the rain occurring in Jambi since Thursday morning is natural rain, unrelated to the Weather Modification Operation (OMC) programme carried out by the government some time ago. Additionally, he noted that the fairly moist air humidity in the lower to upper layers in the Jambi region is a trigger for the potential growth of rain clouds in the province. He further reminded the public that weather conditions can change at any time and must be considered when planning various activities, especially land, sea, and air travel, as well as outdoor activities such as sports and tourism.
