BMKG: Jambi Province Expected to See Rain Throughout the Coming Week

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Sultan Thaha Class I station predicts that Jambi Province will continue to see rainfall over the next week. This condition is triggered by several atmospheric factors that support the growth of rain clouds in the region. “In the coming week, there is still potential for rain in Jambi Province,” said BMKG Forecaster Benedy Fajar in an official statement in Jambi on Thursday (18/6/2026). Fajar stressed that the rainfall occurring in Jambi since Thursday morning is a natural rain phenomenon. He clarified that this condition is not related to the Weather Modification Operation (OMC) programme previously conducted by the government. Based on BMKG analysis, several technical factors are triggering rainfall in Jambi. BMKG reminded residents to be alert to weather changes in Jambi that can occur at any time, especially for those planning outdoor activities or travel by land, sea, or air.
