The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts that weather in most parts of Indonesia will be dominated by cloudy to thick cloudy conditions on Monday. BMKG forecaster Diah stated that cloudy to thick cloudy weather is likely to occur in the cities of Banda Aceh, Pekanbaru, Padang, Bengkulu, Palembang, Bandar Lampung, Serang, Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Pontianak, Palangkaraya, and Banjarmasin. Similar conditions are also expected in Kupang, Makassar, Sorong, Manokwari, Jayapura, and Merauke. Diah also noted the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in Tanjung Selor, and light rain in several cities such as Medan, Tanjung Pinang, Pangkal Pinang, Samarinda, Denpasar, Mataram, Kendari, Mamuju, Palu, Ambon, and Jayawijaya. Meanwhile, partly cloudy conditions are forecast for Surabaya, with hazy conditions possible in Jambi and Yogyakarta. The cities of Gorontalo, Manado, and Ternate are also expected to experience partly cloudy weather.
