BMKG Forecasts Rain in Jakarta Today

JAKARTA — Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts rain in parts of Jakarta from Monday afternoon into the evening.

In a post on its Instagram account, @infobmkg, on Monday, the agency said West Jakarta was expected to be heavily overcast at 7am, becoming cloudy from 10am to 1pm.

The skies there are forecast to become heavily overcast again at 4pm. At 7pm, the area is expected to see light rain, before returning to heavy cloud at 10pm.

In Central Jakarta, conditions are expected to be heavily overcast at 7am and cloudy from 10am to 1pm.

At 4pm, BMKG forecasts partly cloudy skies in the area. Light rain is expected at 7pm, followed by heavy cloud at 10pm.

As in the other areas, South and East Jakarta are expected to be heavily overcast at 7am and cloudy from 10am to 1pm.

Rain is forecast in both areas from 4pm to 7pm. It is expected to ease by 10pm, with skies becoming heavily overcast.
