BMKG forecasts partial Jakarta to be drenched by rain Tuesday afternoon
Jakarta — Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has forecasted that parts of Jakarta will experience rain on Tuesday afternoon.
Data from BMKG’s official Instagram page @infobmkg shows that East Jakarta and South Jakarta will be drenched with light rain starting at 1:00 PM (WIB). Meanwhile, Central Jakarta and North Jakarta are expected to be partly cloudy. West Jakarta and the Seribu Islands will be covered in clouds during the afternoon.
Light rain is forecast to continue until the evening at 4:00 PM (WIB) in South Jakarta and East Jakarta. West Jakarta, Central Jakarta and North Jakarta are predicted to be partly cloudy.
Weather conditions in the Seribu Islands are expected to be cloudy in the evening.
During the night, light rain is still forecast to continue at 7:00 PM (WIB) in East Jakarta and South Jakarta. Meanwhile, other areas such as West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta and the Seribu Islands will be covered in clouds.
By 10:00 PM (WIB), the entire Jakarta region is expected to be partly cloudy through Wednesday early morning, except the Seribu Islands, which are predicted to remain cloud-covered.
Temperatures across Jakarta are estimated to range between 25 to 32 degrees Celsius. BMKG also stated that wind speeds are expected to range between 1 kilometre per hour and 12 kilometres per hour in the area.
