BMKG forecasts light rain across most of Indonesia on Saturday

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has forecast that weather today, Saturday, will see light rain across most parts of Indonesia. BMKG forecaster Annisa, in a YouTube broadcast monitored from Jakarta, stated that Bandar Lampung is expected to be partly cloudy, while Banda Aceh, Padang (West Sumatra), and Palembang (South Sumatra) will be overcast. Light rain is predicted to fall on Medan (North Sumatra), Pekanbaru (Riau), Tanjung Pinang (Riau Islands), Jambi, Pangkal Pinang (Bangka Belitung Islands), and Bengkulu. Moving to Java, weather in Jakarta, Semarang (Central Java), and Yogyakarta is predicted to be partly cloudy. Surabaya (East Java) has the potential for hazy conditions. Bandung (West Java) is forecast to be cloudy, while light rain may fall on Serang (Banten). Banjarmasin (South Kalimantan) will be covered by thick clouds, whereas light rain is forecast for Tanjung Selor (North Kalimantan). In the Bali and Nusa Tenggara regions, Denpasar (Bali) and Kupang (East Nusa Tenggara) are expected to be partly cloudy, while Mataram (West Nusa Tenggara) is predicted to experience smoke or fog. In the Maluku and North Maluku regions, Ternate and Ambon have the potential for light rain. In Papua, Sorong (Southwest Papua) may experience smoke or fog, Jayawijaya (Highland Papua) is expected to be cloudy, and Manokwari (West Papua), Nabire (Central Papua), Jayapura (Papua), and Merauke (South Papua) will be drenched by light rain.
