BMKG forecasts light rain across majority of Indonesian regions on Friday
Jakarta (ANTARA) — The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has forecast that most regions across Indonesia are likely to experience light rainfall on Friday.
According to the BMKG’s official website, light rain is expected to fall on the cities of Jakarta, Bandar Lampung, Bengkulu, Denpasar, Gorontalo, Jayawijaya and Kendari.
Light rain is also forecast for Makassar, Mamuju, Manado, Manokwari, Mataram, Medan and Palangka Raya.
Similarly, the cities of Palembang, Palu, Pangkal Pinang, Samarinda, Serang, Sofifi, Sorong, Surabaya and Yogyakarta are expected to experience light rain.
Meanwhile, cloudy conditions are forecast for Ambon, Banda Aceh, Bandung, Jambi, Jayapura, Merauke, Nabire, Padang, Pekanbaru, Semarang and Tanjung Pinang.
The BMKG has urged the public to remain vigilant against rain accompanied by lightning, which has the potential to occur today in Banjarbaru, Kupang and Pontianak.
Hazy conditions are forecast for Tanjung Selor.
