BMKG Early Warning: Serang and Cilegon Potentially Hit by Rain Tonight

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued an early weather warning for Banten Province. BMKG stated there is potential for heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds in Serang Regency, Serang City, and Cilegon City. “Early weather warning for Banten dated 19 August 2026 at 18:40 WIB: potential for moderate to heavy rain that may be accompanied by lightning and strong winds at 19:00 WIB,” BMKG said in its statement on Wednesday (19/8/2026). Areas in Serang Regency potentially affected by rain include Kramatwatu, Waringinkurung, Kragilan, Cikande, Kibin, Kopo, Jawilan, Pabuaran, Cinangka, Mancak, Gunung Sari, and Bandung. For Serang City, rain is potentially expected in Serang, Curug, Cipocok Jaya, Taktakan, and surrounding areas. Meanwhile in Cilegon City, rain is potentially expected in Cibeber and Ciwandan. BMKG stated the rain may spread to Pandeglang, Lebak Regency, and other areas in Serang and Cilegon.
