BMK 1957: Cadre Development Key to Golden Indonesia 2045
Semarang, VIVA – The fifth Grand Congress (Mubes V) of Barisan Muda KOSGORO 1957 (BMK 1957) will be held on 8–10 August 2026 in Semarang Regency, Central Java. The organisation’s highest deliberative forum will serve as a moment to strengthen cadre development and ensure the continuity of organisational consolidation.
Secretary-General of the BMK 1957 Central Executive Board, Almanzo Bonara, said Mubes V should not merely be a forum for changing or confirming organisational leadership, but must become a strategic moment to ensure the sustainability of BMK 1957’s cadre development.
“Cadre development is the primary need for KOSGORO 1957 and the Golkar Party. That is why it must be carried out consistently and continuously. It is not just about increasing the number of cadres; what matters more is producing quality cadres with leadership capacity who can act as driving cadres,” Almanzo said.
Mubes V of BMK 1957 carries the theme “Consistency in Cadre Development and Continuity of Consolidation of Barisan Muda KOSGORO 1957 as Driving Cadres for the Glory of the Golkar Party Towards Golden Indonesia 2045.”
According to Almanzo, the theme reflects the organisation’s strategic direction in building cadres who are not only strong institutionally, but also capable of taking a role in national development.
“This theme is a manifestation of strengthening cadre development within KOSGORO 1957. We want to ensure that cadres produced through this process have the quality and capacity to contribute towards Golden Indonesia 2045,” he said.
He stressed that cadre development must go hand in hand with organisational consolidation. Consolidation, he said, must not stop once the congress ends.
The outcomes of Mubes V must later be translated into concrete agendas and organisational work at all levels.
“Consolidation must not only take place in the run-up to the congress. Once the congress concludes, there must in fact be fresh energy to implement its decisions. Cadre development and consolidation must run continuously,” Almanzo asserted.
Almanzo also explained that Mubes V forms part of the continuity of the leadership commitment of BMK 1957, which was formed in 2021.
That year, Kemas Ilham Akbar was elected Chairman of the BMK 1957 Central Executive Board at the Mubes IV held at the Peninsula Hotel in Jakarta. In the same period, Almanzo Bonara was entrusted as Secretary-General.
According to Almanzo, one of the leadership’s commitments is to ensure that cadre development and organisational consolidation continue.
