Bandung – Baitul Maal Hidayatullah (BMH) West Java Representative has distributed Ramadan care packages to dozens of dai and Qur’anic teachers in the Bandung Raya region on Tuesday, 3 March 2026. The programme is an expression of appreciation for the dedication of religious educators who have long nurtured the community and its younger generation.

The distributions were carried out in the hall of the Hidayatullah Pesantren in Bandung Regency. The packages contained staple goods, religious articles, and financial support to welcome Eid al-Fitr.

Head of the BMH West Java Representative, Marsono, said the role of dai and Qur’anic teachers is highly strategic in safeguarding the morals and spiritual wellbeing of the community, especially amid the rapid flow of information and social change.

“We want to share happiness with the dai and Qur’anic teachers who have played a major role in guiding the community. Our attention to them is not merely social assistance, but a form of strengthening those who safeguard values at the heart of the community,” Marsono said in a press release received on Wednesday, 4 March 2026.

According to him, the work of dai teaching in village mosques and simple learning spaces often goes under the radar, yet it has broad impact on the resilience of the community’s morals. Therefore, BMH makes the dai and Qur’anic teachers appreciation program a regular annual agenda.

One beneficiary, Ustadz Affan Fallas, expressed gratitude for the attention. He said the support given is not only valuable materially but also a morale boost to continue serving guiding the community.

“This aid is not just material; it is a very meaningful expression of care for us,” he said.

BMH hopes support for the dai and Qur’anic teachers can strengthen their role as guides for the community, particularly in areas with limited facilities and infrastructure.

The event concluded with a breaking of the fast together in a spirit of camaraderie. The moment serves as an important reminder of the need to uphold and strengthen the moral foundation of society through tangible support for religious educators.
