Mega enjoys botanic garden concert

BOGOR, West Java: President Megawati Soekarnoputri attended a charity concert at the Bogor presidential palace on Sunday, which aimed to raise funds for the conservation of the country's botanic gardens.

Bogor Botanical Gardens official Sugiarti said the concert featured Twilite Orchestra and was organized by noted musician Adhie M.S.

She said the funds raised from the concert would be used to conserve endangered flora in the country's four botanic gardens in Bogor and Cibodas in West Java, and Bedugul and Puwodadi in Bali.

The concert was held in cooperation with the Indonesian Botanical Garden Foundation and the Russian Embassy to Indonesia. -- Antara
