Blueray Boss Reveals Rp30 Billion Payment to Customs Official Linked to BIN

Blueray Cargo Group boss John Field has admitted to disbursing a total of Rp91 billion to several officials within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise at the Ministry of Finance. Of that amount, Rp30 billion was given to Ahmad Dedi, also known as Dedi Congor, the former head of the Marunda Customs Supervision and Service Office (KPPBC). During a hearing at the Corruption Court in Central Jakarta on Friday (12/6), Field stated that he knew Dedi as an operative for the State Intelligence Agency (BIN). Field’s lawyer highlighted that the indictment only mentioned Rp61 billion and pressed for clarification on the remaining Rp30 billion. Field explained that he provided Rp5 billion in monthly assistance to Dedi, whom he believed was the treasurer of the PPIR (Purnawirawan Pejuang Indonesia Raya) organisation within BIN. The money was handed over to Dedi’s staff member named Alex, following an introduction by a customs brokerage entrepreneur, Sri Pangestuti. Dedi Congor was previously questioned as a witness by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on 8 May 2026, and went viral after fleeing from journalists seeking confirmation. A KPK spokesperson stated that investigators suspect Dedi received payments related to customs processing or goods importation. John Field is charged with bribing several customs officials with Rp61 billion and providing entertainment facilities and luxury goods worth Rp1.8 billion. The bribes were allegedly paid to secure faster customs clearance for Blueray Cargo’s imported goods. The recipients include the Director of Enforcement and Investigation, Rizal, who allegedly received Rp14 billion; the Sub-director of Intelligence, Sisprian Subiaksono, who received Rp7 billion; and the Head of Customs Intelligence Section I, Orlando Hamonangan, who received Rp4.05 billion. Other officials, including Enov Puji Wijanarko, are also implicated.
