Blue Bird Predicts 20 Percent Increase in Demand During Post-Eid Al-Fitr Travel
Chief Marketing Officer of PT Blue Bird Tbk, Monita Moerdani, stated that Blue Bird is preparing its services at five locations with high public mobility during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026. These locations include transportation hubs, hotels, shopping centers, culinary areas, and residential areas. “Because this is where people will be very active,” she said during a media gathering in Jakarta on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
Monita said that Blue Bird will take advantage of the increased public mobility during the second week or leading up to Eid al-Fitr. In addition, people who do not travel to their hometowns, such as in Jakarta, will go to places like malls in the city.
Blue Bird, according to Monita, is preparing more than 25,000 vehicles, including fleet upgrades for Bluebird, Silverbird, Goldenbird, Bigbird, Cititrans, and Bluebird Kirim. The company also has 700 electric vehicle units. The service pattern will become more concentrated as Eid al-Fitr approaches. “Therefore, we want to position Blue Bird as a travel companion to help the community,” she said.
Monita said that the demand for Bluebird services will increase by an average of 20 percent, as during the post-Eid al-Fitr travel period in 2025. This number is higher than the pre-Eid period. Goldenbird services also increased by an average of 21 percent, and Silverbird by 5 percent.
Cititrans’ intercity services also increased by 23 percent during the Eid period, and charter bus services increased by 10 percent during last year’s Ramadan. Bluebird Kirim services increased by 62 percent during last year’s Ramadan period. “When people want to send hampers, this business has extraordinary growth, especially during high seasons like the end of the year, there is a surge in Bluebird Kirim,” said Monita.
She said that there are several promotions offered in various Blue Bird business lines. However, these promotions have terms and conditions that apply to each promotion.
