Blue Bird clarifies

We have received many calls lately from confused customers
asking whether Prestasi Taksi is a member of the Blue Bird Group.
Through this letter we would like to enlighten the public, as
follows.

It has become apparent during recent years that there is an
increase in the number of blue-colored taxis. At present, aside
from Blue Bird, there are over 10 companies using blue-colored
taxis. Using the color blue is fine, but President Taxi has
really pulled quite a trick with their new Prestasi taxis. Not
only have they turned their trademark red and yellow into a blue
color similar to that used by Blue Bird, but many of these taxis
started to put "Blue Group" signs in their windshields, and their
drivers claim that their Prestasi taxi is a Blue Bird taxi. This
has resulted in a lot of confusion for our customers.

For the record, the Blue Bird Group would like to declare that
Prestasi taxi is a President taxi and has nothing to do with the
Blue Bird Group, except in their attempts at imitation.

We would like to clarify that Blue Bird taxis only include
Blue Bird, Gamya, Morante Jaya, Cendrawasih, Pusaka Nuri and
Silver Bird Executive Taxi in Jakarta, and Surabaya Taksi, Bali
Taksi and Lombok Taksi outside of Jakarta.

We would like to warn the general public to carefully check
the company logo of any taxi before getting in, or, to be more
secure, to order a taxi by phone. Make sure you are using the
taxi of your choice.
