BLT Kesra 900,000 Rupiah for August 2026: Schedule, Requirements, and How to Check Recipients
As August 2026 approaches, discussions regarding the People’s Welfare Direct Cash Assistance (BLT Kesra) have increased, with rumours circulating that the 900,000 rupiah social assistance will be distributed again.
According to the official website of the State Secretariat Ministry, the BLT Kesra was distributed by the government last year, specifically during the fourth quarter covering October to December. This assistance targeted 35 million Beneficiary Families (KPM). The nominal amount for BLT Kesra was 300,000 IDR per month for three months, provided in a single disbursement. Records show that the funds were distributed through the State-Owned Bank Association (Himbara) accounts and PT Pos.
Regarding whether BLT Kesra will be disbursed again in August 2026, investigations conducted on Friday (31/07/2026) indicate that the government has not signalled any distribution of BLT Kesra for 2026, including August. If a distribution were planned, official notification from the relevant authorities would be expected.
Earlier this year, according to the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) website, rumours circulated that BLT Kesra would be discontinued and redirected to regular social assistance. This news was refuted by the Head of the Public Relations Bureau, Devi Deliani, on 24 January 2026. The Komdigi website stated: “Through the letter from the Head of the Public Relations Bureau, Devi Deliani, dated 24 January 2026, it is explained that information regarding the official termination of BLT Kesra in 2026 to be redirected to regular social assistance programmes is hoax, which could lead to false opinions within institutions and the community.”
Consequently, the public is urged not to immediately trust information circulating on the internet and to always cross-check via official Ministry of Social Affairs channels. Furthermore, even if a disbursement is confirmed, the government has not yet provided specific dates, as distributions are typically handled in stages.
Requirements for BLT Kesra Recipients in August 2026
While there is no certainty regarding the August 2026 disbursement, looking at previous distributions, recipients are drawn from the population in DTSEN deciles 1-4:
Decile 1 (Extremely Poor): Individuals with no steady income, uninhabitable housing, and high dependency on social assistance.
Decile 2 (Poor): Beneficiaries with low income that is insufficient to support basic monthly needs.
Decile 3 (Vulnerable to Poverty): Individuals with income that is susceptible to falling into poverty due to sudden changes, such as job loss or price hikes.
Deceler 4 (Almost Poor): Families with incomes slightly above the poverty line who live simply but remain vulnerable to poverty.
According to the Ministry of Social Affairs’ ‘Cek Bansos’ website, deciles 1-4 are also prioritised for the Family Hope Program (PKH) and the Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) programme. Meanwhile, decile 5 can be proposed as participants for the Health Insurance Contribution Assistance (PBI-JK).
How to Check Recipients for August 2026
There are two ways to check social assistance distributed by the Ministry of Social Affairs:

Visit the official Cek Bansos website.
Enter the 16-digit National Identity Number (NIK) found on your ID card (KTP).
Complete the captcha code.
Ensure the data is correct and click ‘Cari Data’ (Search Data).
The status of three types of social assistance, including names and DTSEN deciles, will be displayed.
- Via the Cek Bansos Application:
Download the Cek Bansos application from the Play Store or App Store.
Select the ‘Cek Bansos’ menu.
Enter your NIK and press ‘Cari Data’.
The system will display names and DTSEN deciles, as well as the status of six types of social assistance.
Citizens are advised to remain cautious of false information and to avoid sharing personal data with unauthorised parties to prevent criminal activity.
