Blora Officially Becomes One of the Most Competitive Regions in Central Java

The Blora Regency Government has successfully entered the top 10 of the 2026 Regional Competitiveness Index (IDSD), coinciding with the 81st anniversary of Central Java Province. The award was presented by Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi to Bupati Blora Arief Rohman following the commemoration ceremony held at Alun-Alun Kidul Boyolali on Wednesday (19/8).

Bupati Arief Rohman expressed gratitude for the recognition given by the Central Java Provincial Government. He said the achievement was not the result of any single party’s efforts, but rather the fruit of collective synergy.

‘Alhamdulillah, we received this special award directly from the Governor. This award is clear evidence of the hard work, innovation, and collaboration of all elements of society and the Blora Regency Government in improving our region’s competitiveness. Thank you very much for the extraordinary synergy from all parties,’ said Arief, quoted on Wednesday (19/8/2026).

Blora Regency has recently shown a positive development trend. Not only has it recorded an increase in its IDSD score, but Blora has also officially entered the list of the Top 10 IDSD Appreciation 2026, competing with 35 other regencies and cities in Central Java Province.

In that ranking, Blora stands alongside nine other high-achieving regions, including Surakarta City, Kudus Regency, Demak, Kendal, Sragen, Semarang, Batang, Cilacap, and Temanggung.

For information, the IDSD is an official measurement instrument conducted by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) for both provincial and regency/city levels. This measurement aims to obtain a comprehensive picture that can reflect the level of productivity and competitiveness of a region.

Blora Regency’s IDSD score has increased every year, from 3.58 in 2024 to 3.70 in 2025, a rise of 0.12 points.

Furthermore, the top official in Blora emphasised that this achievement will serve as a catalyst for the local government to continue advancing the welfare of its citizens.
