Blora Immigration Deports Four Chinese Nationals for Misusing Investment Visas on Construction Project
A public tip-off has led to the deportation of four Chinese citizens who were found working illegally on a construction project in Grobogan Regency, Central Java. The Blora Class I Non-TPI Immigration Office confirmed the individuals were misusing their pre-investment visas (D12) by engaging in construction work, an activity not permitted under their stay permits.
Head of the Blora Immigration Office, Gilang Danurdara, stated that the report was received through the official complaints channel on 13 July 2026. Following up on the information, the Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement Team (Inteldakim) conducted a field inspection on 16 July 2026. During the on-site check, officers discovered four Chinese nationals—three men and one woman—actively working at the construction site.
Investigations revealed that the four foreigners had entered Indonesia using D12 pre-investment visas. However, their actual activities were inconsistent with the purpose of their stay permits, as they were employed in the construction sector. Consequently, the Blora Immigration Office imposed administrative immigration sanctions in the form of deportation. The four individuals were repatriated via Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Thursday, 23 July 2026.
Gilang Danurdara explained that the enforcement action stemmed from information provided by the public regarding the suspected presence of illegal foreign workers in the Grobogan area. He expressed appreciation for the community’s role in helping to monitor the presence and activities of foreign nationals, emphasising that every piece of information received would be followed up in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures. He also urged guarantors, particularly companies employing foreign workers, to promptly report the presence and activities of the foreign nationals under their responsibility in line with immigration requirements.
