Blora Government Invites Young Generation to Care for the Environment

The Blora Regency Government, through its Social Service, held the 2026 Festival Anak Blora (FABLO) to commemorate National Children’s Day with a lively and educational series of events on Sunday (2/8/2026). During the special occasion, Blora Regent Arief Rohman invited all children to cultivate environmental awareness, preserve traditional values, and foster a spirit of nationalism. Cross-sector synergy was evident in the event. Carrying the theme ‘Realising Blora Children Who Care for the Environment for a Resilient and Empowered Generation’, the regency government presented various interactive facilities and services for children. ‘In accordance with this year’s FABLO theme, there is a waste exchange stand. This aims to get the children accustomed to disposing of waste properly and adopting a healthy lifestyle from an early age,’ said Regent Arief Rohman in an official statement on Monday (3/8/2026). In addition to environmental education, the National Children’s Day commemoration in Blora also featured a ‘Tree of Hope’, a special area where children could write down and hang their aspirations. Integrated services were also available, including free health checks and the issuance of Child Identity Cards facilitated directly by the Population and Civil Registration Service. Ahead of the independence month, the national spirit was also enlivened during the event, which coincided with Car Free Day. The Regent personally distributed Indonesian flags to the public and visitors thronging the CFD area. This symbolic action was carried out extensively to welcome the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence. Amidst the onslaught of the digital era, the Regent also specifically highlighted the importance of preserving traditional games. ‘These traditional games are something we must continue to preserve. In fact, every Car Free Day, we always present these traditional game activities,’ he added. The most crucial moment of the event was when a child representative read out and handed over a manuscript of hopes and recommendations to the Regent. Arief asserted that these aspirations, or ‘Children’s Voices’, would be followed up seriously. ‘The manuscript handed to me will serve as our reference and recommendation. Going forward, the Blora Regency Government will safeguard the hopes of Blora’s children,’ Arief stressed. Concluding his remarks, Arief offered prayers and motivation to the nation’s future generation. ‘Once again, Happy National Children’s Day! I pray that all my children become pious and devoted to their parents, and God willing, may all your dreams come true. Stay enthusiastic about learning,’ he concluded.
