A total of 45 ‘Red and White’ Village Cooperatives (KDMP) in Blora Regency, Central Java, have officially started operations after obtaining complete business legality. Head of the Blora Trade, Cooperatives and SMEs Office, Kiswoyo, confirmed that the cooperatives, spread across 12 sub-districts, have secured essential documents including a Business Identification Number (NIB), Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP), and a legal entity decree from the Ministry of Law. Four sub-districts have yet to see their cooperatives begin operations. Kiswoyo explained that the operational cooperatives are developing different business models according to their local potential and needs. A total of 30 KDMP have established partnerships with Agrinas, while 10 others are managing the distribution of subsidised 3-kg LPG canisters. The remaining cooperatives are running independent businesses such as grocery stores. He stressed that the success of the cooperatives depends heavily on the management’s ability to develop the business and leverage partnership opportunities. The local government is encouraging managers to collaborate with various parties, including PT Pertamina Patra Niaga for LPG distribution and Pupuk Indonesia for subsidised fertiliser distribution. Regarding employment, Kiswoyo clarified that the authority over the number of workers and their salaries lies with Agrinas, not the local government office.
